Fractured (2019)

Driving cross-country, Ray and his wife and daughter stop at a highway rest area where his daughter falls and breaks her arm. After a frantic rush to the hospital and a clash with the check-in nurse, Ray is finally able to get her to a doctor. While the wife and daughter go downstairs for an MRI, Ray, exhausted, passes out in a chair in the lobby. Upon waking up, they have no record or knowledge of Ray's family ever being checked in.

There’s little beyond the grey-and-grim production design here that one would venture so far as to call it “great.” But Fractured provides an interesting mystery, engrossing story and a couple of superb action beats, more than enough to make it “Netflixable.”

I am half way suspicion that this was written by people who have never seen a movie before. It takes 45 Minutes before a plot appears. The logic throughout is confusing and nonsensical. The ending pointless because none of the events leading up to the conclusion mattered. This felt like someone had an idea and money for a movie but without the foresight to know that there was no substance to the idea and very little to work with in medium. another film that does this idea well is total recall, where you never know if he is in the game or not and you begin to question if Quaid is making a mistake. Here it doesn't feel like that here it is like, it is more thoughtless and more round about because the most logical direct route would have ended the movie in 15 minutes.

You will probably enjoy this movie if you are either interested in the medical field (setting for most of the movie) in general or are a fan of thriller/horror movies in the realm of The Twilight Zone. The movie gives off an unsettling impression from start to finish, the acting is decent... and when it isn't there is usually a reason for it related to the plot. I agree with others in that there are some holes left unfilled in the story, but they are relatively unimportant and are probably best left the way this movie was edited. Definitely worth watching if you already have a Netflix account.
