Fox and His Friends (1975)

Fox, a former circus performer, wins the lottery of DM 500,000 and can now have the life and things that he has always wanted. He enters an abusive relationship with wealthy industrialist Eugen in an attempt to climb the social ladder. His desperation for love and affection soon spirals into tragedy.

Super Gay for a movie from 1975... but is a Fassbinder's movie.

A sort of gay My Fair Lady, without the music or women. Fassbinder blends melodrama and gritty social realism to great effect.

This movie starts out very slow, but the last hour drew me in. It's like watching a train wreck. You can see everything coming a mile away, but the impending destruction is fascinating.

This Movie is together a realistic View of the German Gay Scene, a much melodramatic Movie with real strong Feelings and disappointments and it shows again how heartless many German People are first Fox Lover and then the brilliant Last Scene when he is lying dead in the Subway when his "Friends" walk over and the one Say "I don't want anything to do with that" and Boys stole his Money
