Fog Island (1945)

Leo, a former convict, is living in seclusion on an island with his step-daughter, the daughter of his late wife. Leo was framed by a group of former business associates, and he also suspects that one of them killed his wife. He has invited the group to his island, tempting them by hinting about a hidden fortune, and he has installed a number of traps and secret passages in his home. He is aided in his efforts by a former cell-mate who holds a grudge against the same persons. When everyone arrives, the atmosphere of mutual suspicion and the thick fog that covers the island promise a tense and hazardous weekend for everyone.

A pretty solid, predictable B movie. The rich greedy people get what they deserve and the young whippersnappers the audience (or lack there of) cheers for end up getting the better end of the deal.

Not a bad little B movie. The dialogue, though dramatic, is well written and performed adequately. The Characters are ambiguous at first but reveal themselves as the plot unfolds. Plot's a little transparent but moves along in a timely fashion. Sets & props are realistic enough. May not be a Brilliant movie but it's not Bad at all.

Low budget twist on Ten Little Indians. Well enough done, bland but capable cast. Short and sweet. It has a good atmosphere.

A rather dull and tedious thriller lifted by the ever excellent George Zucco and a rather good last 20 minutes or so when things turn decidedly nasty.
