Commercial airline pilot Whip Whitaker has a problem with drugs and alcohol, though so far he's managed to complete his flights safely. His luck runs out when a disastrous mechanical malfunction sends his plane hurtling toward the ground. Whip pulls off a miraculous crash-landing that results in only six lives lost. Shaken to the core, Whip vows to get sober -- but when the crash investigation exposes his addiction, he finds himself in an even worse situation.

I really don't want to say to much about this movie, just for the simple fact of giving the whole story away. This is another movie that I've watched, bought the Blue Ray Disc & I'm going to watch it some more. Great story.

This is the best film!! Denzel is magnificant. He deserves serious Oscar Best Actor consideration. The supporting cast is superb, with Don Cheadle spot on as a very effective lawyer who crosses over the ethical lines in his approach to zealous advocacy. John Goodman is showing he can be a character actor of first rank. Adam Tomei is very creepy - there is a lot of talent in Marissa's family. Kelly Reilly is captivating, and naturally gorgeous, in her role as a troubled drug addict. Every detail, including the aviation aspects of the plot, are carefully crafted. You shuold see this film!

An amazing story! Loved this movie wish they would have told a little more story at the end but only because I didn't want to see it end. A wild twist on what I would call a success story.
