Wow, this would've been even better with an authentic western soundtrack instead of... ugh, Tangerine Dream. Other than that, I think they could've tried to hint at the mystery man's identity a little more at the library. Other than that, a reasonably solid story.

I somewhat know why HBO does not want people to know about this film but it is a good movie. Kris Kristofferson kills Kirkwood Smith over the gun that shot JFK. Come on people it is something that needs to be watched.

Mr. Tannen's strength is his ability to grab his audience's interest quickly and to hold on to it, even by the most superficial means. Even when the movie doesn't entirely make sense, it manages to be effective.

Two ordinary Joes who are border guards find a small mystery and soon find themselves in X Files territory. This starts kind of slow and then ratchets up and ratchets up and ratchets up. Good stuff here.
