I think Walter Matthau was great but the movie just seemed to go nowhere

A very dry movie, if it weren't infused with the likes of Matthau to give the film some funny bits. Jill Clayburgh, although not a bad actress in her own right, seemed inappropriately cast in this film.

Walter Matthau is in his groove as the only liberal judge on the Supreme Court, just gets a little preachy and dry diving into the the conservative vs. liberal thinking arguement once too many times.
