It's refresher to see a movie that is not a sequel or remake! It's original with incredible writing and acting. When the movie ended I found myself exhaling with emotion for such a wonderful cinematographic success!

The best acting I have seen in the movies for years. August Wilson's script is so superlative that you lose yourself in the world he conjures up. Troy is one of the great tragic roles in American drama. There really is a God: Denzel Washington brought his theatrical production to the screen. They wear their roles like worn-in shoes. Troy fills the small house with his presence, bearing down into the souls of his family. This is a great movie.
