Cary Grant, Leslie Caron and yeah. It doesn't get better.

Grant was quoted as saying that this role's character was the closest in reality to himself as a person. The war atmosphere collides with the the zany comedic romance of the pacific. Lsslie shines and Grant begrudgingly concedes. Great cinemotography and even better acting. A must see for young and old alike.

Cary Grant claimed this was his favourite film role (filthy, drunken beast), and he played it perfectly. Even so, a great family romantic comedy, set on a New Guinea island, where Cary has been pressed into the Coast Watching service and rescues Leslie Caron and her young female charges.
