Starts off very filthily and then tails off into err... an accurate historical drama. How odd, eh? Worth watching a la The Libertine to find out about this guy's poor life.

A great music in an angel's voice, recreated by IRCAM (french center of acoustics) for a film which has been a little bit ...ordinary..I'liked it anyway.

My first and formost reason for liking this film is the music. Some of it is HÃ¤ndel and its just stunning. The film as a whole has both, drama, tragedi, passion and love. I am not sure weather Farinelli is a person that really excisted. But never the less, it is a griping story.
