Excellent!!! One of the best movies I have ever seen. I had to watch it twice to understand the whole story and appreciate the variety of themes it contains. And of course unforgettable soundtrack.

I enjoyed this movie and the various subplots, although they seemed a bit cobbled together. The themes of love, loss, and the demand for a passionate life resonate strongly.

An old homosexual diabetic man who longs for his long lost love and bakes cakes he can't eat. A young married woman who is tempted to have an affair with that beautiful man next door.Their worlds come together to reveal the pain, frustration and anger of wanting something that is not accepted by society. A film about forbidden love. Greatly shot making use of flashbacks that seem to be more like hallucinations .Combined with a great sound track by Giorgia this film touches you deeply. Great Italian film by a great director.
