Okay, it's completely ridiculous. But not without charm, and a unique storyline. Worth seeing.

This is a very touching film. Yes, the music is cheesy and the movie is somewhat predictable, but that is not the point of this movie. The beauty of this movie lies in the characters and the interactions between them; the actors do a wonderful job.

Nobody seems to be able to write a good synopsis of this film (don't bother reading this one - don't read the one on Netflix, either) - but it's a quirkly and lovely film.

With so many great documentaries and foreign films each year, why does the Academy so often come up with second-rate choices in these two categories?
