In spite of an original storyline and the amazing talent of Juliette Binoche, Elles fails to deliver on a perceived promise to deconstruct, re-define, or re-imagine notions of female sexuality.

A ponderous, self-satisfied drama that can't be saved by a characteristically nuanced performance from Juliette Binoche. A would-be character study that comes across as a plodding and muddled adaptation of a didactic women's studies term paper.

Well I guess Juliette Binoche's being in it made me think it would be something special but it wasn't. Sure there were a lot of sexy scenes which I don't object but the purpose of the movie wasn't clear.
