a very dull film that is based on a true serial killer. i feel like it does an okay job showing how sadistic and sick ed gein was in real life, but it is very slow and boring at a lot of parts. the constant flashbacks are used way to frequently and its really weird and somewhat creepy but its more gross than suspenseful.

AMAZINGLY directed, crazy as hell since it happend in my home state...and good that people will see he only killed like 5 people, HE was a GRAVE ROBBER! not a mass-murderer! get it right people! creepy and fantastic...talk about scary!

Not a really good movie, although compared to "The Butcher of Plainfield" it is Citizen Kane. Steve Railsback does a good job of playing Gein, but the story is dull. It's factual but still assumes a lot of rumors. The best aspect of this movie is that it is unintentionally hilarous especially when Gein runs out of his house with his women "mask" on. Better off watching the A&E Biography.
