These live action quasi-documentaries are always questionable. It does a very basic job with no backstory of showing some of the torture and murder. It takes place directly during the time and in the location of the torture and murders. Some of the scenes are dragged out. I think some are unnecessary. And the film for some reason got a lower violence rating than the R rating, it initially called. It's somewhat graphic, as this story is the precursor and the basis and inspiration for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre series. While very few elements carried over into the actual series, the original and real plot was a lot more simpler and realistic.

I didn't really expect much but it really wasn't bad for a straight to video horror flick.... bad acting, good makeup... not bad overall though.

Cheesy grade D retelling of the infamous Gein saga. As much as I respect Kane Hodder, this film sucks. You are better off checking out the original "Ed Gein" from the year 2000 with Steve Railsback.

I gave it 2 stars because of the grizzly scenes they showed. The special effects and all that were very well done. The acting and storyline....just a bit of advise, keep the remote in hand for the boring parts.
