Paul Bartel's Eating Raoul is about lurid sex, murder, cannibalism and greed. It's also the best comedy of the fall season.

Cult comedy favorite of the 80s is a fine send off for the "sexual" revolution. Consistently light and funny, so it's perfect for those that found Pink Flamingos too graphic to watch.

It has very cheesy and ill acted moments at times but it adds to the charm and comedy of the movie. Very cynical movie that doesn't take itself very seriously. The whole story line is pretty outlandish but original. Killing swingers and making a profit from doing so - pretty cooky stuff. Good funny movie.

Though not without charm, this movie was a little disappointing for me in that I didn't find it very funny. All the ingredients for great humor are there-- cannibals, Nazis, a dominatrix, murder by frying pan, etc.-- yet recipe never quite gels into the wonderful gourmet laughfest you expect. Oh well, it's still worth a view.
