Claudette Colbert and Henry Fonda make a beautiful couple on the screen. John Carradine is very good. A solid and impressive work from Ford. A must see for western lovers as well as early settlers cinema. This is a story of people who built America.

excellent! my favorite Henry Fonda movie ever. they really improved on the book...an incredible story of common people who fought for their lives on the rough frontier in New York
