A girl with insomnia who works in a coffee house has impossibly high standards for her love and fears she will never meet a worthy man. Then in walks a new employee and they click - until she discovers he has a girlfriend. Undaunted, she moves to L.A. with a friend sure that he will dump the girlfriend and follow her. I love this movie. Sure, it may be a little over the top in its romantic sensibilities, but what a great script. It's sweet, its thoughtful ... and I ain't ashamed to admit it's one of my favorites. Can't help but think it should be adapted for the stage ... hmm ...

i especially like the dialogue. it's interesting and unconventional. the movie reminds us that love shouldn't be one of the things we settle down for. it should be amazing , special and sweep us off our feet

I'm not sure what it is about this movie that I love so much. I watched in when I was in high school and identified with it for some reason. I love the conversational style of this movie.
