Hilariously disturbing this British indie film shocked me with it's violent approach to the characters inhabiting the film. Not sure if I'd call it the best British independent film of the year like other publications. But it was ridded with black humor and unforgettable characters. The mother character in particular I was most fond of.

A smart British indie film that follows the return of a father and son crime team as they are released from prison and return to their old gang. What starts out as a black comedy quickly turns into Tarantino-style film-making as the father/son begin to fall prey to their own paranoia and suspect everyone around them --- including each other --- may be out to get them. As the body count starts to rise --- no one is safe by the end of this interesting film.

Very dry, very dark, and VERY FUNNY, un-orthodox gangster/comedy about a dysfunctional family's up's and down's in the world of gang shit. It's like Curb Your Enthusiasm meets the Sopranos. Verdict: Good Stuff

By mixing the situations of a crime drama with dysfunctional family dynamics, the everyday becomes accentuated, meaning that outbreaks of violence are absurdly comic but still retain a nasty edge.

Really enjoyed Down Terrace tonight. Quirky story, excellent dialogue and good performances.
