Dorothy and the Witches of Oz (2012)

Children's author Dorothy Gale makes a decent living continuing her grandfather's series of Oz books. When a new agent enters the scene, Dorothy moves to New York city. If it only had a brain. It certainly tries very hard, but there's nothing original or really even remotely entertaining about this overly long and unfulfilling adaptation.

It's got some people in it that I had to watch it because of. It's actually not horrible, but it is verry different from what you are used to with the Wizard of Oz. But if you like that sort of thing, I recommend it.

I finally got to see this after 2 years of following it it runs a bit long, which is probably why the director did I recut. It has a camp look, sound and feel and it is totally appropriate! I love the one liners and the twist the brought to the story. They also included a lot more of the characters from the book, and being an Ozma fan I think that's fantastic! My favorite part was a steam punk feel brought to the scenery and costumes. Can't wait for te rerelease, Dorothy and the Witches of Oz!

I think they spent as much time looking for a decent actor to fill the lead role as they did on sound production. The only time I could really connect with the main character is when she shouted, "I can't believe it!"

This movie is so horrific that I didn't finish it. Stupid story, terrible acting, not entertaining.
