This is one amazing, inspiring, beautiful and also sad movie and I really enjoyed it. The story is based on the novel by Waris Dirie, which tells her life story. It's just amazing to see what this women achieved in her life, although she went through genital mutilation and other difficult situations. I think Liya Kebede was a perfect choice to play Waris Dirie, because I know her as a top model and I was pleasantly surprised to see that she can act this well! It's a pity that this movie didn't get a lot of attention in the media, because personally I think that everyone should watch it.

Magnifique acte de courage contre une tradition barbare et honteuse! Bravo pour le réalisateur, superbe film!

true moving film about the life of waris dirie. sherry horman did a great job on balancing between waris' life and the distressing and very important issue circumcision.

Amazing story about the way Waris Dirie made it to be a famous model. I just think the movie should have focussed more on the cruelty to women that still excists in countries and her fight against it than on her modelling career.
