Such a fun ride. My favorite Craven film next to Nightmare. it is a truly bizarre film, and Craven made some rather unique choices here. I loved it.

Wes Craven's Deadly Blessing Takes Us To The Farming Community As One Night A Farmer Is Murdered With His Own Tractor. But Was It The Hittats ( A Community Similar To The Amish), Or Was It The Incubus? Craven's Slow Horror Thriller Shows That Atmosphere Is Everything & Proves It Once Again With This Slice Of Cult Cinema. Not His Best, Bit A Film Not To Be Ignored, Horror Fans Will Notice A Scene Which Craven Later Re-Worked Into His Big Hollywood Success, A Nightmare On Elm Street.

Une araignÃ©e venimeuse gobÃ©e, un serpent dans le bain moussant, Michael Berryman...Craven nous offre tout Ã§a sur un plateau d'argent. Et puis, un slasher chez les Hamish Ã§a ne se refuse pas. =D

There are individual moments that work but overall Deadly Blessing is uneven. The result is nowhere near Craven's best work although it could be viewed as a curiosity.

A truly stupid crappy ending ruins the whole film. Has some suspense, believability to it and a good little twist. But the ending is so bad so inept and stupid that it renders this to garbage. Cravens worst film by far.
