What ann odd film. Even though they are aparently not related at all, this is probably the closest the world is ever going to see of an adaptation of Joe R. Lansdale's novel The Drive In. The movie is also surprisingly beautiful. Lots of great shots. And VF.

Agh, to be honest I couldn't wait for it to end! Weird & weak. The lead chick was hot though, but not enough to save this movie. Strange story & premise, and was completely ruined by the racism that came in at the end. Gets one star for being quirky & having Natalie McCurry in it.

A neon-post-apocalyptic movie! It does get a bit preachy mid-way through with some unnecessary commentary on Aussie-Immigrant Asian relations, but mostly it's just a fun exploitation flick that is VERY 80's, full of nice big tits, fun car chases and crashes, random fires, and did I mention 80's!! The ending is fuckin bad-ass as well. A fitting tribute to the drive-in movie experience, so to speak.

Starts by ticking you into thinking it's going to be one of the 47 million Mad Max rip offs that was released around the same time, but quickly takes a left turn into "poignant social commentary". Keeps the punks though, so that's cool.

Very underrated 80's Post-apocalyptic drive-in prison. Creative to a high point. They just don't make movies like this anymore. If you've never seen will make your day memorable. 5/5
