The story of Love and Passion, deprivation and well being, jealousy and murder told through the jaded voice of child who have seen it all and survived to tell it to you. In 1916 a steelworker Bill (Richard Gere) murders his boss and then run away with his little sister Linda (Linda Manz) and girlfriend Abby (Brooke Adams) to Texas, they start to work the harvest of a wealthy farmer (Sam Shepard). Bill discovers that the farmer is dying. Later the farmer falls in love with Abby believing that Bill is her brother, and Bill advises Abby to marry him so that they'll get his money when he dies, but when she agrees the story turns into a love triangle leads to jealousy and murder. Days of Heaven is Terrence Malick's Second Movie and probably his best so far. The movie as the rest of Malick's work is a visual poetry, beautiful acting, the music were marvelous and an Oscar winning cinematography well earned.
