Hmmm... I was interested in the motivations of why these guys dress up and play real life D & D, but every time they cut to them standing around speaking in ye old english with complete sincerity, all I could think of was this is the nerdiest shit I've ever seen. So I did a lot of cringing.

I don't know if the guys who made this movie were making fun of these people or presenting it in a serious manner, but either way I enjoy this movie. Whether you are laughing at them or if it is bringing the nerd out in you this movie is entertaining. This movie probably isn't for everyone, but if you have time check it out.

The first time I discovered this D&D to the max was on the show Beauty and The Geek. One of the finalists took his partner to his home town and showed her his role playing in D&D. So when I came across this movie on TV, I watched in. It was very interesting. A great little movie. Check it out if you get the chance.

Everybody wants to be a hero, and in everyday life, you dont get to be the hero, most people either spend thier time doing nothing or being a victim. Darkon is an excellent movie showing the lives of people with a deep, rich fantasy world. Combating for peace, or domination the the realm of Darkon.

More of a comedy than a documentary to me personally. But reviewing it as a documentary...it had me hooked onto the peoples lives more then some other boring docs I can't ever follow.
