It was a unique idea and I feel like if I read it as a book, I would have enjoyed it more. Unfortunately it wasn't executed well in movie form. It was just generally boring and not even remotely scary at any point in time.

Title of the movie doesn't reflect on "Dark summer". Had better call it "Slaughtered love" or "Find out the unknown". Just really fucked up story!

Dark Summer was entertaining, the acting was pretty good, particularly from Stella Maeve, she did an excellent job and was very believable. ...this movie was pretty dark, but it's not going to scare the crap out of you....the story line moved along at a decent pace, there weren't any glaring plot holes and it was overall a fun watch....

A small cast in a spooky littler horror chiller of a boy under house arrest haunted by a girl who died. Gilchrist is particularly good
