Danny Says is a fitting reminder that not all rock legends took to the stage.

It reminded me of when I first heard the Velvet Underground back in the 1960s. Some people didn't like that kind of avant-garde music, but I did. Lots of great music and memories in this movie.

Hugely entertaining history that oddly picks up where the recent beetles documentary leaves off. Danny seems to be in the middle of devilment in punk rock from the the doors, mc5, iggy pop, velvets, Bowie , the Ramones and more. Not the most balanced account but fascinating and a must see for a fan of late 60s to early 70s underground.
