Courage of Lassie (1946)

Bill's separated from his litter, making friends with the wild creatures until he's found and adopted by young Kathie. An accident separates him from her, and he's drafted into K-9 duty in the trenches until battle fatigue takes its toll and he turns vicious. And even though he finds his way back home, he may be condemned as a killer.

I believe that I have probably seen all the Lassie movies ever put out. Lassie movies are by far my most favorite movie. It is a clean, safe movie for family, friends and children.

First of all; why on earth is this movie called Courage Of Lassie, when there is no such dog in this movie that is named Lassie. The name of the dog is Bill, and Elizabeth Taylor´s character Kathie takes care of it after it has been hurt by a shotgun. Soon Bill is taken and used as a war dog, and after making it getting home to Kathie again they consider if he might be dangerous after his experiences in the war. Too much cheese and sugar on this one! And why are they trying to ride on Lassie Come Home´s success soo bad, that they fool us by calling the movie Courage Of "Lassie", and using the same child actress Elizabeth Taylor but in a completely different role (and whatsmore she felt a little bit too old for this part). The only thing that charmed me in this movie was the beautiful filming in the nature.
