One of the great lost video nasties,,, a movie only horror freaks could love

The story may be familiar, but this treatment is headlined by Peter Cushing, in top form as always, and kept moving with a kitschy energy and offbeat dark humor, leading to a wild climax involving an out-of-control laser. Great entertainment for B-horror fans.

This was alright late 60's Horror movie starring Peter Cushing. Fiancée gets facial scar so Cushing starts killing ladies to fix her face.

Peter Cushing is over-the-top crazy in this grindhouse-style goreathon. It's hard to imagine the filmmakers didn't know the end product would be campy.

The concept of face -- as a noun, as a verb, as the mask that hides and exposes our emotions, as the anchor to our definition of self -- is so essential to human identity that horror films that hinge on the disfigurement of the face have a special power.
