A decent Kafkaesque body-horror metamorphoses that plugs in well with the genre, and with gore fans in general. Too bad the protagonist was vapid and wholly uninteresting. By the end of it you're sort of rooting for her peril. The movie doesn't particularly say anything, but does what it says on the tin, nothing more.

I first heard about this at the chi film fest but didnt get to see it there, i finally caught up with it on netflix, goddamn was this an unsettling experience, the things that you see happen to this girl caused me to cover my eyes many a time, and despite the low budget has some damn realistic special effects, it's real quick moving and never dull, the unknown actors all do solid work, the only downside is the decisions made by the main girl near the end, i didn't agree with them and they were pretty frustrating, but besides that, still worth it for horror fans to check out

Very well done entry in the body horror subgenre. Treats the viewer w/ respect and doesn't spoonfeed the answers to what is going on. As in the best body horror, the physical changes mirror the psychological/emotional changes the character is experiencing. Good stuff.

3.2/5 Its themes and subjects all come together in a competent and interesting way, but at the end it never really takes them far enough to truly justify their relevance, but if theres one movie that nicely bends direct sexual anxieties with average horror (and that is not It Follows), its this one.
