Never knew about this going on before I was born. Only knew about the Nazi's and Pearl Harbor pretty much. Amazing story and very informational

A love story set against the internment of Japanese Americans following Pearl Harbor.

this was a good movie, but i thought it was a little too long. and it seemed like jack & lily fell in love way too fast. they seemed like the rushed some parts, and didnt say enough about others. its a tear jerker but i wouldnt say a crier. overall id say just watch it if your bored one day.

Alan Parker's almost forgotten gem. First of all the film is beautifully shot, right from the first scene between mother and daughter walking in the field. Also this film revealed a dark almost hidden history freom the usa. I was captivated and utterly convinced by this touching love story. The scene in the station brought tears to my eyes when d quaid put his daughter and wife on the train, oh and i cried at the end too.
