This movie has me torn. The first ten minutes own, the 20 minutes following bore me to tears, especially after repeated viewings. Once Snaporaz gets to the Phallic Mansion, things pick up immensely. The scene where Snaporaz wanders the hall of conquests is one of my favorite Fellini scenes ever. Unfortunately, a good deal of what follows is just not that interesting. I'm not sure what rating to give. 4 stars seems appropriate.

It's a mind tripping movie..the first of Fellini's coloured film we ever watched.. It's a very very long movie and the stuff you are exposed to watch its so much that your logic won't be need it anymore.. The Maestro was a real one..out of its time..imagine a world of women and just you..which one will you pick? A nightmare at times, tediously long, grotesque and full of surreal moments.. Taking a closer look, A journey into a man's mind is probably just like this film..

The male gender on trial by its own nightmares. Chaotic, carnevalistic, grotesque and a lot of fun. Plus a great performance by Mastroianni.
