Children of the Living Dead (2001)

Starting a new life in a quiet Pennsylvania town, Matthew Michaels only thought is to turn an old farm property into a profitable car dealership. He soon discovers that beneath the gentle surface, this small town is anything but calm and peaceful. Firstly, he learns that his new property is located on the site of a graveyard, which all the townsfolk regard as an evil place that must never be visited. He then discovers that years earlier the town had suffered an infestation of the living dead ...zombies who prey on human flesh. One zombie, the infamous Abbot Hayes, escaped destruction. As the construction team begin degging, they unleash the thing the townsfolk fear the most, the wrath of Abbot Hayes and the awakening of ... The Children of the Living Dead.

This movie sucked lol. Tom Savini spent his only 10-15 mins alive showing off, and after that the movie just got worse. The plot line was in fact ridiculous. I mean the Abbot Hayes part was... hmmm... strange... and in my opinion extremely under-developed. I am a keen fan of zombie movies but was shocked at how completely awful this movie actually is! Dont watch! or if you do really want to watch, just watch to see how awful the movie is, and the huge amount of mistakes seen throughout. :( enjoy... Or Not!

This movie gets one star because it only has "one star"...Tom Savini. Easily the best thing about this movie, he dies in the first ten minutes; and then the movie REALLY goes down the crapper from there...AVOID...for the sweet love of God, AVOID!!!

a really poorly executed movie. dont see it if u like good acting or a good story. its a shame, because they were trying to hard to make a good movie. its a good movie to make up your own dialogue to.

Despite the title this, unfortunately, has nothing to do with George A. Romero's dead series and the "Living Dead" have no children to speak of. The script is awful and contradicts itself repeatedly, the acting is pathetic and there are no zombie effects. I mean come-on, you can get Tom Savini to act in the movie but you won't have him do the zombie make-up? Dozens of zombies get shot, but always off screen or from a distance so the filmmakers could avoid using make-up. One of the films many exposition scenes also mentions two previous zombie outbreaks (referring to Night of the Living Dead) yet no one in this movie seems to remember those events and doesn't believe in zombies.

This movie really didn't have any redeeming qualities. It was poorly written, poorly acted out, and the makeup was just barely a step up from the Dragonworld Fables.
