When strangers Jim, Eva, Emily and Mo meet William online in his new 'Chelsea Teens!' chatroom, they're completely seduced by his fast-talking, charismatic character. But beneath the surface lies a much darker truth. William is a dangerous loner, channeling all his energies into cyberspace. Beautiful, somewhat unintentional think-piece about disconnection and technology among young people. There's some monster performances, specifically by Matthew Beard.

It is not a horror movie, but rather a good psychological thriller, with the story of a disturbed teen who tries to alleviate his own misery by making others miserable. It is also a good look into the seedier, sleazier parts of the internet, where anything can happen, and where violence (although entirely psychological) can be very, very real.

Admittedly, very very depressing and has some plot holes. But, this psychological thriller about depression really manages to put you into the dark mind of a young unstable person. The re-enactment of the chatrooms are very clever, quite literally putting people in different rooms to chat, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson gives a strong performance. Ultimatly, this film may sometimes be a slightly over-the-top British melodrama, but it's worth sticking with for a very exciting, thrilling ending and some clever concepts.

Dark and disturbing subject (online suicide clubs) for sure, but it is director Hideo Nakata's (Ringu) handling of it that makes this film shine and brings it to life. Unique and visually appealing blend of the real and virtual worlds really makes the character interactions pop and does a nice job representing the seductive appeal of cyberspace.

Otro caso mas de una interesante premisa, pesima ejecuciÃ³n. Toda una decepciÃ³n considerando el material fuente y el director, Hideo Nakata (de filmes como Dark Water y The Ring), que falla en desarrollar su premisa y darle un climax con un verdadero significado. No pierdan su tiempo.
