I love this movie. It is one of the best films I have seen.

Even Heller himself liked it! It never gets old and even the lack of a soundtrack adds to the style of the movie. All of the actors are both talented and experienced, the jokes are hilarious, the scenery is spellbinding, and the plot is complicated, yet its order is more organized than the book (possibly because a coherent story-line could be easier to follow for viewers). All in all, a must-watch!

The film begs us to ask the question, what is insanity during times of war. Questions are repeated throughout and absurdity grows with the horrors around our lead. Like a fever dream we are cast into semblance of reality, by way of MASH, that becomes an inescapable nightmare similar to THE PRISONER. This is BRAZIL during WWII and I was blown away and swept into its insanity.
