This is a wonderful movie with outstanding performances from Goldie Hawn, Edward Albert, and Eileen Heckhart. Every word spoke is this movie is wonderfully written and includes some of the best on screen dialogue I have heard. It's based off a play and it works perfectly as a film thanks to Hawn and Albert's pitch perfect chemistry.

theres a simplicity and tenderness in the performances juxtaposed with the bleaker realities of life and the situations in this particular stage adaption which make this film a real gem! Funny; 'Sleuth' , was also an play and is pretty much my favourite movie... what is it about stage adaptations that make them sometimes SO effective, i wonder? If you haven't yet seen 'Butterflies', do so without delay. You'll hopefully be suitably touched.

An interesting film about love, blindness and the inherent bias in both.
