Violent movie about fraternity hazing; cursing, sex.

Jude Dry 24 Feb 2017

McMurray fixates too much on the brutality of his subject, foregoing any meaningful character development. The result is a film about punishment that is quite punishing to watch.

Sean P. Means 25 Jan 2017

A solid young ensemble bolsters Burning Sands, a drama that demonstrates the horrors of fraternity hazing come in all colors.

Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat 09 Mar 2017

A disturbing film about the hazing of a college fraternity pledge.

Morgan Rojas 04 Aug 2018

McMurray creates a world full of raw emotion, tension-filled relationships, and an alternative coming of age journey that we don't often see in film. So while it may be a tough watch, it is an unforgettable one.
