Jackie Justice is a mixed martial arts fighter who leaves the sport in disgrace. Down on her luck and simmering with rage and regret years after the fight, she's coaxed into a brutal underground fight by her manager and boyfriend Desi and grabs the attention of a fight league promoter who promises Jackie a life back in the Octagon. Terrible movie. Don't waste your time. Halle berry a 54 year old woman playing a 30 something MMA/UFC rip off fighter, and she can't pull it off. The fighting all the way through from training to the big fight at the predictable end is totally unbelievable.

Bruised generally lacks the kind of immersion that a story like this demands. It wants us to step alongside Jackie and stay with her, experiencing her pain and her triumph, but it makes the journey from locker room to octagon unfathomably long.
