Eleanor Powell just fantastic amazing tap dancer!!! And Robert Taylor a hot leading men. Great story and production =)

It's not the best of the Broadway musicals--it feels like Jack Benny's scenes are from another film entirely, and Robert Taylor is a little stiff--but it still has a lot of good songs.

2: Entertaining enough story, but most of the musical numbers definitely leave something to be desired. Powell is great, but I could take or leave much of the rest of the cast. The non-stage musical numbers seem a bit too forced and artificial as well. I think this series, along with the Gold Diggers series went on for a bit too long.

Ah yes. The Broadway Melody of 1936...the sequel to the Broadway Melody (which I am reviewing next) and the prequel to the Broadway Melody of 1940. A good chance to catch the old vaudeville crowd but there isn't much to the story here.
