Bride of the Monster (1955)

Dr. Eric Vornoff, with the help of his mute assistant Lobo, captures twelve men for a grisly experiment; His goal to turn them into supermen using atomic energy. Reporter Janet Lawton, fiancée of the local lieutenant, vows to investigate Vornoff's supposedly haunted house.

Another in a series of classic "great bad films" from the king of them-Mr. Wood. Bela Lugosi is obsessed with making supermen as a mad scientist.There is the infamous rubber squid that Lugosi "fights with to stay alive". Its a good thing that Bela was buried in his Dracula cape and not his lab coat from this film-people would make jokes! Oh,they still are?...oops my fault! Anyways,if youre in the mood for something so bad is great-heres the beau for you.

If you're interested in Wood's work, you should see this one too, it has Lugosi and the giant octopus. The plot isn't great, but it's still a fun movie in Wood's "b-movie" style.

Nowhere near as bad as it's reputed to be (none of Ed Wood's films really are), but unquestionably CHEAP. Lugosi, in his last speaking role, proves he could still command the screen, and his famous "I have no home" monologue is chilling.
