Mindless, shoddy (lurching zooms, no color correction, an entire reel out of sync) depiction of some very big guys who work as bouncers.

Jonathan Foreman 17 Feb 2004

Much of the resulting material is very funny, though there are a few times when the filmmakers patronize or mock their subjects in a way that makes you uncomfortable.

Kevin Maynard 03 Feb 2003

The breakout star is retired English bouncer Lenny McLean, 49, who memorably declares, "I f***ing hate violence."

Martin Scribbs 25 Sep 2004

Self-important knuckleheads bloviate on club life. Though docs are reknown as tools to create empathy, Bounce merely confirms the worst prejudices of its audience.

Dave White 05 Sep 2001

In spite of that condescension, it's still fascinating to watch these men keep the disco peace.
