Another good film noir, with a very interesting story of murder and romance. Good acting, good story, it's good.

Some of the script and acting is a little suspect, but the story is intriguing enough to make for an acceptable watch.

Lawrence Tierney has a similar sexual magnetism to Robert Mitchum- just as masculine and unsettling. Claire Trevor is stronger than in Key Largo, which makes it more fun from a woman's perspective. Check it out.

This was a good movie about a man, Sam, who commits a double-murder and leaves town so as to not get caught; only to get involved with a woman, Helen, who's true motives show to be a bit shaky. On one hand, she could easily rat him out as the killer because it's the right thing to do; but she's so completely infactuated with Sam's good looks and strong personality that she might choose to help him. This causes Helen's own personality to change from someone kind and warm to, as they described, an iceberg of a woman. It made for a good oldtime suspense.

Pretty amazing film noir that features nothing but scummy individuals looking out for No. 1 (that's themselves). I havent seen a lot of Lawrence Tierney, so this was a great intro! Lots of twists and turns in this one. Very very enjoyable.
