High-school movie which has surrealism and a very nice J-rock soundtrack!

This movie kind of makes me wish I grew up in Japan instead of the US.. I wouldn't have missed out on all the cool stylized angst these teens go through in this movie. Believable characters, memorable emotional scenes, awesome soundtrack, superb story. I loved it

Ryuhei Matsuda never fails to impress. The movie can be confusing until you get to the end, but it pulls together nicely.

One of the common Japanese contemporary social phenomena- school violence-vanity,confusion, lonliness and apathy experienced by the youths. with the coming graduation year, a group of 'wasted' students turned their bewilderings into the violence. A very realistic description of daily life of thoes students yet also preserved the beauty of violence.

Very dark and gritty. Good actors, great music. Especially perfect is you're a 19 yr old disenfranchised youth. (lol) great though. This movie does right what so many others do very wrong.
