Expertly directed, flawless acting. The atmosphere and well pacing of the story digs into your soul and makes you experience as closely as you possibly could through film the moral perils and savagery that revenge can unleash when two families clash.

Holy cow. Beautifully shot and paced, with subtle performances that ratchet up the tension. Blue Ruin is a gourmet revenge movie. Tonally similar to "Drive", it's thrilling from first to last frame. And definitely not for the faint of heart.
