I didn't watch this shitty dubbed copy that the picture shows. i had to get the hk copy off ebay. This was pretty great. It had a different style than a lot of hk action flicks. i guess that it wasn't really a hk movie, but all about 30's shanghai. well anyway. i liked it. Hopefully this director will keep doing good stuff. Why the hell does this dvd copy only have the english dubbing. that is bizarre, labels stopped doing that a few years ago.

interesting... :o) unfortunately, i didn't have my glasses on, so i couldn't read the subtitles. but brandon brought me up to speed and the imagery was entertaining enough for a nice evening of computing and watching at the same time.

it is only worth 1 star becos of the hot guys starring in this movie.. the storyline was thin...... no climax at all becos all the complexities of any relationships (whether it was brotherly love or romance) lacked details..i expected more since it was John Woo... 0_0
