Στο «Bird Box», που το σκηνοθέτησε η Σουζάν Μπίερ (The Night Manager), η Μπούλοκ παίζει τη Μάλορι, μια γυναίκα στα τελευταία στάδια της εγκυμοσύνης της, που βγαίνει από έναν τυπικό έλεγχο για να διαπιστώσει ότι κάτι έχει συμβεί στον κόσμο που δημιουργεί στους ανθρώπους την επιθυμία να αυτοκτονήσουν. Από την στιγμή εκείνη και μετά, ο χαρακτήρας της Μπούλοκ κυκλοφορεί σε όλη την ταινία με δεμένα μάτια προσπαθώντας να σώσει την οικογένειά της από αυτή την ακαθόριστη απειλή.

Chilling and creepy, Bird Box is a surprisingly effective horror-thriller. However, it is undermined by thin plot development.

As a massive fan of the book, it's safe to say that, even though enjoyable, the adaptation of "Bird Box" is not, in any way, spectacular like its source. A lot of aspects of the plot are changed, and made ridiculous, or cheap, and the good performance from Sandra Bullock doesn't prove itself enough to carry the film through its missteps. The second half is especially changed drastically, and made more "dramatic" rather than intriguing (I mean, screaming "Don't take my children!" in the middle of the woods wouldn't have been a solution in the book.. just saying...). It's an enjoyable movie, and the cast carries out what is asked of them, however, lacking originality and faithfulness to the book, and not transcending the horror genre formula, "Bird Box" just isn't what I was hoping it would be.

Contrivances and clichés abound, but Bird Box still manages to be a compelling, high-concept idea thanks to Bier’s faultless direction and impressive cast.

"Bird Box" Despite a great incoherence in events, being innocent at all times, has good performances and a good transmission of the facts occurred, bringing a greater interest of the public. His conclusion disappointed at a certain point, leaving certain doubts. Sandra Bullock breaks expectations with her acting in this film.
