This movie is basically about leftistist that discover that Trump got elected (maybe reelected?). You need to see the results to believe them, it's not enough to hear about it. But once you see them - you kill yourself, literally, because you simply cannot live in a world were Trump is the president. So, what do the leftists do? They hide in their homes. And when they need to go out, they cover their eyes with blindfolds. Their enemies are usual leftist enemies - rednecks and other residents of southern states, by their looks and accents. Oh, and there's also 50 years old Sandra Bullock dreaming about making it out with a black guy 20 years younger. And two stupid kids that ought to grow up in a world that is immensely dangerous, but acting as your regular kids that went out on a field trip with their mommy. So refreshing to see such trash of a movie, I must say.

This is further proof Netflix is quickly becoming a better studio than most in Hollywood. I don't even like Sandra Bullock, but she's convincing in this. The horror genre is over-saturated with garbage, so it's refreshing to see a film like this even if it does feel a lot like "A Quite Place." They do a great job at making you feel the actual horrifying entity without truly showing it and that goes a long way, just like that damn river. I can understand some of the downvotes or "5"s for people that read the book, but people need to pull themselves out of their own experience when it comes to book adaptations and understand the overall audience of a film. I had to do this with "World War Z," which was drastically different from the book. Enjoy this film as it is. And close. your. eyes.

The beginning of the movie is a 10 out of 10! I was on the edge of my seat! The middle where they start to drive the car is where my scores goes down alittle. But at this point, I am still liking the movie! What destroyed the movie for me, was the cheesy ending.

This movie had so much potential, and it was totally wasted. First act looked promising, but after that you start to lose the connection with the movie characters. Story definitely not developed enough. Too bad...

There is some fun to be had with Bird Box. Despite its sporadic eye-roll moments, the film is charming. It’s the epitome of a rainy day movie – a flick that you can watch wrapped in a blanket with a hot cup of cocoa when it’s too dreary to leave the house.
