What happens when you mix a love story with pyromania? Probably a very awkward yet interesting drama. I mean how many couple do you know fall for each other after competing in a cricket eating contest? Indeed. Bottom line this film does subtle things constantly to constantly keep itself from anything one has seen before. This film is a good definition of a indie film, because it's obvious Hollywood would've never had the balls to make this film.

A stunning debut for writer/director/actor Evan Glodell. My favorite- so far, of 2011.

If one word was to be chosen to describe "Bellflower" it would be raw. Raw in the sense that director/ writer/ and lead actor Evan Glodell put this film together for a mere $17,000. Raw in the sense that the characters build weapons in preparation for an apocalyptic destruction. And raw in the sense that the film's narrative structure spirals out of total control in the last act and yet is still cohesive enough to make sense. "Bellflower" is an exercise in untamed creative energy and plays out with incredible force. A young cast of newcomers bring genuine emotion to their roles, especially Tyler Dawson as Aiden. The cinematography and editing are furious and insane, but when upon seeing the film's shocking conclusion that is clearly the point. "Bellflower" isn't a perfect product. It is not the most refine of films you could see this year, but for its daring creativity it deserves the distinction of one of the films you should see, and one that will most likely be enjoyed.

Unlike anything I've seen so far. The kind of movie that made me think "That's why I wanna make movies!"

Badass film. It's awkward how it crosses the line between beautiful and creepy. Nevertheless, this got under my skin and it's definitely a love or hate film.
