Everyone should see this movie. After watching it I was shocked that it had been well-received by critics.

Beautiful film. And the cinematography was lovely. I'm pretty sure I'm now in love with Jose. Nice score. I really don't see what every one means when they call it 'preachy'.

Defies your typical Hollywood, formulaic codswallow. It avoids stereotypes and FINALLY presents minorities (in this case, Hispanics) in a normal, everyday setting instead of being gangsters, etc. There were no car chase scenes and explosions, gratutious sex and violence, etc. I don't even remember any four letter words. A GREAT movie that celebrates LIFE! Really only deserves 4 stars as a film, but I'm giving it 5 for Monteverde's courage to do what he wanted.

Great movie, great acting, a very moving film. One of the best movies I've seen in awhile.
