The trajectory of the film is as predictable as that of Georgie's best free kicks, but director David Scheinmann recreates the Eighties in exemplary fashion and tells the boy's story with heart and humour. The trouble with Believe is that, unless you are ten years old or under, which I'm assuming you are not, you won't believe. Not for a second. Not for a minute. Not a word of it. The odd good moments don't make up the cliche story and a seemingly weak script and the cast are ok but feel it doesn't give justice to the 1958 Munich air disaster but for a family friendly film, does give it some heart. The film just feels rushed and very, very predictable.

Probably would have to be a Man United fan to enjoy this. How much of it is true leaves alot to be desired. Only watched it for Brian Cox.

An inspirational story told through good performances and decent cinematography.

Whether wondering why he survived the 1958 Munich air disaster or bantering with Georgie and team-mates, who have no idea who he is, Cox is a delight.
