This film does not follow a narrative structure, which I obviously have no problems with but it just didnt click with me as much as i was hoping. There a definetly scenes that are very powerful and effective but overall I was a bit underwhelmed by this work of Claire Denis.

Arty film about everyday life in the foreign legion that reminded me of McQueen's recent 'Hunger' with its detached visual style. It's also a study in masculinity (ie: it's a bit gay). It is beautifully shot and has minimal dialogue, which makes it sound dull as fuck, but it's actually compelling enough.
