An extremely underrated comedy. It is a happy, hilarious, well-meaning, family-oriented love letter to the old Hollywood. Immensely rewatchable. It is also a movie with great pacing, moral lessons, a great script, great performances, etc. I love it. And every joke hits the mark well. This is the movie film lovers should watch.

You name a movie you want to rent, your local video rental will shoot it for you. It's 'Be Kind Rewind', videos a la carte. Junkyard worker Jerry (Jack Black) sabotages a power plant, becomes magnetized, and accidentally destroys all of the movies in his friend's store. In order to save the business and to keep the store's one loyal customer - an elderly lady with a tenuous grasp on reality - Jerry and Mike (Mos Def) do fun reenactments of films including 'The Lion King', 'Rush Hour 2', 'Ghostbusters', 'Driving Miss Daisy', and 'Robocop', putting themselves and their townspeople into it. They become the biggest stars in their neighborhood. I find 'Be Kind Rewind' funny and great, and even in the current age of DVDs and Blu-Ray discs, movies can still be recorded on videotapes. A representation of big-name movie reenactments by amateur filmmakers, this is entertaining to watch. And oh yeah, I would like to have my favorite movies "Sweded" - in other words, remade but created by fans.

wow umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch......its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie.....i think that jack black, danny glover, mos def, mia farrow, melonie diaz, signourney weaver play good roles/parts throughout this movie......i think that the intro is really clever as its filmed in black n white which i think is really clever.......i think that the director of this comedy/drama/romance movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect thorughout this movie......i think that jack black is great throughout this movie.....i think that this is a good movie 2 watch with a good cast throughout this movie n the soundtrack is pretty kewl throughout this movie....i think that the ghostbusters part is brilliant throughout this movie as there just running thorugh the town making there own version of the classic movie ghostbusters which was just so brilliantly funny n this is a good comedy movie 2 watch with a good cast thorghout this movie
